South Dubbo Tavern
The South Dubbo Tavern is a tough one to rate as it’s a bit of a regular but I give them a solid 7 pots of spicy mayo out of 10
The Tav is the place that I eat at most probably. My local. A bunch of us go there each Monday after Ultimate Frisbee. Which, yes, is as cool as it sounds. 😉
They have half a dozen constant specials which are some of your counter lunch style usuals. Chicken Schnitzel, Steak, Bangers and Mash, Carbonara, and fish & chips (beer battered flathead strips.)
They serve pizzas, a bunch of other things from the grill, chicken parmigiana, and the Hawaiian Chicken, which is a winner FYI.
But, a little while ago they started a partnership with Boss Burgers Sydney. This was an inspired decision. Their burgers are now next level.
Let’s start with their Buttermilk Fried Chicken Burger, my fav.
It’s buttermilk fried chicken, slaw, American cheddar, pickles, and spicy mayo. It’s a great burger, I really recommend trying it.
Then for the meaty burger lover I say go the Signature Double Cheese.
This cheesy beauty has 2 patties, maple bacon, pickles, liquid cheese, American cheddar, and burger sauce.
Look at all that meaty goodness!
The burgers are all served with some tasty beer battered fries.
You can also get a basket of half a kilo, or even a full kilo, of Buttermilk Fried Chicken. Or the same size servings of Honey BBQ Wings or Southwest Chipotle Wings.
If you’re from out of town, or even in town, I say go enjoy a meal there. You’ll get a good feed.
