Burger Urge Dubbo

I give Burger Urge Dubbo 8 well seasoned fries out of 10…
but, with a few tweaks this could easily be an 8.5+ restaurant.

Let’s start with the good…

The burgers are really tasty. So tasty my kids will actually eat here and they don’t eat anything, anywhere. But the adults find them just as good.

They’re not greasy, they’re full of flavour and they have some great combinations of fillings.

The southern fried has Southern Fried Chicken that is cooked well. Topped with cheese sauce, pickles, lettuce, special sauce and aioli. It’s great. They also have a burger called the Waikiki Classic that a friend highly recommends and says is even better. So maybe next time I’ll have to try that one.

Big Boppa Burger from Burger Urge — The Big Boppa Burger on a Gluten Free Bun

The Big Boppa comes with cheese, free range egg, pineapple, beetroot, red onion, tomato, lettuce, hickory BBQ sauce, and aioli. If you look really close there’s no aioli or red onion due to a fussy kid, but as I said, at least he loves the rest of it. And devoured it.

The Boston Cheese Burger comes with cheese, pickles, tomato, lettuce, special sauce & aioli. Plus of course one of their “100% Australian Angus beef no filler, no seasoning, no preservatives patties”.

Sweet Potato Fries from Burger Urge — Sweet Potato Fries

The Sweet Potato Fries, and their standard fries, are really tasty too. They are cooked well and have great seasoning. Yeah, well done Burger Urge.

Service is almost right on point. There were 5 of us dining this night, all orders completely different, including 2 Gluten Free kids. Plus those kids were standing beside me as ordering making sure their burger had this but not that, then not being able to decide on a drink. But although I was getting stressed the server was amazing in keeping their calm and full of patience. There was one or two little things not worth mentioning that they could have done better.

Lastly, just the little things that could help push their score up

The burgers, although tasty and filling for me, are not the largest you’ve ever had. For a lot of people they’ll satisfy your craving without you going home stuffed and feeling like you ate too much. But some people would like to see them a little larger.

Also, the photo below doesn’t quite show it but they need to be a little more generous with their fries/sides. When you order a burger that’s all you get, you can make it a meal for an extra $6.50 which gives you a choice of fries, sweet potato fries or onion rings.

But the thing is your food comes out on a massive plate but about a third of it has nothing on it. It’s not the plate size so much as the serving size of the fries or onion rings. It’s one of the smaller servings you’ll get out there for a similar priced burger and fries.
