Garden Hotel – Dubbo NSW
The Garden Hotel Dubbo has chicken salt on every table!! Salt, pepper, chicken salt, perfection. Enough said. Restaurant review done. This place is great.
Ok, so I will go into a little more detail.
Most Monday nights for what would be at least a couple of years I’ve gone to the same Pub with a group of mates I play Ultimate Frisbee with. Yeah, I’m that cool. But this Monday night we showed up and the place was absolutely packed so we decided to try somewhere else. That’s when we ended up at Garden Hotel.
The Garden Hotel has recently undergone extensive renovations and is looking great. They’ve completely redone the whole thing and it definitely has a family friendly vibe about it now. It’s modern and it’s no no longer just a place to go drinking.
There is a big bistro seating area but it was a little full with families so we chose to sit in the quieter bar area.
So here’s the thing, when I write these reviews I want to ensure I name and describe dishes properly. I also turn my stealth mode on and don’t take photos of menus if it seems awkward or even just will affect the vibe of the night. I’m there to hang with friends first and gathering information to later type into the internet abyss to mostly go unread is a low priority for me.
99% of the time this is easy, you take a few photos of yours and other people’s dinners which most people do these day. Then I head to the internet and look up menus and further details I need, it’s all homework for later and not something I do as an annoying dining companion.
So I did the same for the Garden Hotel… only to find that there were no menus to be found online. Their website was relatively new so I waited… and waited… and waited. It hadn’t appeared in weeks so now I’ll just put this up.
Therefore here’s some pics of the food we had on the night. It was all good pub food. Some little tweaks here and there but if you’re after some tasty meals then the Garden Hotel won’t disappoint.
The staff deserve a shout out here too, they were kind and said goodbye to all of us as if we were regulars as we were leaving.
I give them a solid 7 counter meals with a side of gravy out of 10.
